India’s opposition has disrupted Parliament for a third day, protesting the government’s silence over allegations against billionaire Gautam Adani, who was recently indicted in the U.S. for alleged fraud and a scheme to pay bribes.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) -Both houses of Indian parliament were suspended temporarily on Thursday within minutes of opening as opposition lawmakers disrupted proceedings for the third day this week seeking a discussion on allegations against the Adani Group.

India's lower house of parliament suspended proceedings for a second day on Wednesday after disruption by lawmakers calling for a discussion of U.S. accusations of bribery and fraud against the ports-to-power Adani Group.

The Adani Green Energy on Wednesday issued clarification saying its founder Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani and senior executive Vneet Jaain are clear of all bribery charges as per the US Department of Justice.
