Lonzo Ball wants to be known for his defense. But this season, he still wasn’t sure when — or if — he would get that part of his game back.

Chicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball underwent a rare meniscus transplant procedure in early 2023, which was successful and allowed him to return to the court, much like former power forward Travis Meeks did in 2007.

Ball has not played since Oct. 28 after suffering a sprained right wrist in Chicago's 126-123 victory in Memphis.
