French President Emmanuel Macron convenes emergency meeting of military powers as Trump prepares to negotiate Ukraine’s future without them.

Yuri Ushakov, Russian President Vladimir Putin's foreign policy adviser, said on Monday that Moscow and Washington had yet to agree on how to embark on Ukraine peace talks as the U.S. had not yet appointed a chief negotiator to talk to Russia.

Senior American and Russian officials, including the countries' top diplomats, will hold talks on improving their ties and negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine, officials said Monday, in what would be the most significant meeting between the sides since Moscow's full-scale invasion of its neighbor nearly three years ago.
